Counselling style: Nigel undertook training in existential psychotherapy with some of the world’s most renown psychotherapists. His counselling style utilises his extensive knowledge and experience in psychotherapy, coaching and conflict resolution. Nigel’s integrative approach allows him to meet the unique issues and needs brought by each client. Nigel works with clients to help them understand the choices they make, the choices they want to make and the difference between the two. He does this by paying close attention to clients’ experiences, attitudes, thoughts, behaviours and worldviews.

When working with couples Nigel also applies many of the practical strategies proven by John Gottmann to be most effective in helping couples to feel loved and supported in their relationships.

What personal qualities does Nigel lend to the counselling relationship?: With two feet planted firmly on the ground Nigel offers a solid presence to hear and to hold any of the emotional, relationship and other life issues that are brought to and can emerge in counselling. He is committed to being there in the moment for each client each session without judgement or preconceptions. Nigel listens deeply in order to understand and to journey with you to discover what brings you to counselling, what you really want and who you truly choose to be in your relationships and in the world.
